Investment Advisory Practice
MRT Tax is a Pioneer Specialist Investment Advisory Practice, having acted as an integrated tax, and strategic advisory partner for investors in Uganda and East Africa for many years.
Our firm continues to provide comprehensive tax, and strategic guidance that enables clients to identify opportunities, structure transactions efficiently, and optimize returns while managing risk.
Tax Incentives and Exemptions
Uganda grants tax incentives to both local and foreign investors of different categories. These fiscal incentives are fiscal policy geared at promoting both domestic and foreign investment.
The incentives focus on industrialization with the objective of job creation, value addition to local raw materials, export promotion, and promotion of tourism. Among others these include incentives for investments in the development of industrial parks or free zones, establishment of new factories, and development of hotels and tourist facilities.
With increased compliance complexity and tax scrutiny across the East Africa Regional market, Cross-border investors now require sophisticated, end-to-end advisory support to navigate the regulatory, tax, and business environment.
By aligning investment objectives with regulatory requirements, tax efficiency, and government engagement strategies, we enable investors to make informed, confident decisions.
Our team advises multinational corporations, private equity funds, family enterprises, high-net-worth individuals, and institutional investors, providing the knowledge and tools necessary to enter, operate, and expand in Uganda and the East African region.
